In recent years, large-scale and effective efforts have been carried out in our country to accelerate the development of the tourism industry, as well as to create the necessary conditions for tourists to travel freely and comfortably throughout Uzbekistan. https://gov.uz/en/uzbektourism/news/view/167155

In particular, modern recreation areas, tourism villages, hotels, restaurants, and other service facilities are being built in all regions of the country not only for foreign tourists, but also to provide leisure opportunities for local residents. At the same time, existing historical monuments and pilgrimage sites are being reconstructed and modernized in line with contemporary standards.
According to Goal No. 58 of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. DP-21 dated February 16, 2026, broad opportunities are being created for the development of domestic and inbound tourism, as well as for increasing the number of tourists visiting the country.
In accordance with this strategy, the following targets have been set for 2030:
— increase the share of the tourism industry in the country’s gross domestic product to 7 percent;
— raise the export of tourism services to USD 6 billion;
— increase the annual number of foreign tourists to 20 million visitors;
— ensure 25 million domestic tourist trips across the republic.
In addition, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. RP-161 dated April 30, 2026, “On measures to rapidly develop tourism infrastructure in the regions and introduce a project management system in the sector”, also outlines a number of reforms aimed at developing the tourism industry.
At the same time, the range of tourism services in the country continues to expand, while such areas as ecotourism, wellness (medical) tourism, cultural tourism, and adventure tourism are becoming increasingly popular year by year.
It should be noted that the growing number of such facilities, in turn, requires the creation of a unified, reliable, and systematized database containing comprehensive information about them.
In this regard, in order to support the development of the tourism industry in the country, a youth team has prepared a startup project aimed at promoting the “Maskanlar.uz” platform at the national level and introducing it as an important digital resource contributing to tourism development.
The “Maskanlar.uz” platform is designed to create a reliable and systematized database of all types of tourism facilities across Uzbekistan, including historical monuments, pilgrimage sites, recreation areas, hotels, and tour operators.
All platform users will be able to freely publish information after completing the registration process.
The main target audience for the platform includes:
— domestic tourists (family travelers, students, and youth);
— foreign tourists (through interfaces in English, Russian, and other languages);
— tourism industry entrepreneurs (sanatoriums, tourism facilities, hotels, guides, and service companies);
— government agencies and analysts (for statistical and monitoring purposes).
