He was born in 1259 in the village of Samos, Romitan district, Bukhara region, and died in 1354.

Khoja Muhammad Boboyi Samasi is a prominent representative of the Khojagon-Naqshbandi order, the fifth of the 7 Bukharan pirs (13th century). He studied under Khoja Ali Romitani and, after his death, headed the Khojagan order. When Bahauddin Naqshband was born, he adopted him as a spiritual son and entrusted Sayyid Mir Kulol with the upbringing of Bahauddin. He earned his living through gardening. He was buried in his native village. The mausoleum on his grave, the surrounding mosque, and the stone well were restored during the years of Uzbekistan's independence.
