The "Khoja Ismat" mosque is named after the great scholar, jurist, sage, Sufi, and poet Khoja Ismat Bukhari. Khoja Ismat Bukhari was a mature scholar of his time, a thinker, and a great poet. This noble person lived from 1365 to 1436. Navoi, Jami, and Davlatshah Samarkandi provided information about this person in their works.

“Xoja Ismat” jome’ masjidi, buyuk olim, faqh, donishmand, so‘fi, shoir Xoja Ismat Buxoriy nomlari bilan ataladi. Xoja Ismat Buxoriy o‘z zamonasining yetuk olimi, mutafakkir zullisonnayn shoir bo‘lganlar. Bu zoti sharif (1365-1436) yillarda yashab o‘tgan. Navoiy, Jomiy, Davlatshoh Samarqandiylar o‘z asarlarida bu zot haqida ma’lumotlar berganlar.
