The Eshoni Pir Madrasa was built in the mid-18th century in the Khojagi (Eshoni Pir) quarter of Bukhara by Ishaqkhoja Dahbediy during the reign of Muhammad Rahimbi, the founder of the Manghit dynasty.
Historical waqf documents show that the madrasa had inner and outer courtyards, student cells, and a mosque located on its western side. Various shops and agricultural lands were endowed to support its activities. The madrasa was an important educational center, where several renowned scholars taught over the years. According to historical records, students who missed classes for an extended period without valid reasons could be expelled.
The madrasa was built in the traditional Central Asian architectural style using baked brick, wood, stone, and plaster. Historical sources mention that it contained 52 hujras (student rooms) and served as a significant center of Islamic learning in Bukhara.
